DIY Pretty Patterned Packaging

Ready to wow some customers? Here’s how I made custom packaging that:

  • is earth-friendly

  • didn’t break the bank

  • can be made last-minute

  • will have your customers sharing on Instagram

Supplies I used*:

How To Make:

  1. Stamp your kraft paper - The larger the stamp, the faster the project. Just stamp all over and you’re done. Don’t worry about aligning them perfectly. Perfection is strongly discouraged. ;)

  2. Stamp your tag - Align the stamp toward the bottom of the tag, printing so that there is a good margin of white space above it.

  3. Tie it on - Put the middle of your string through your tag and then the ends through the loop. Then wrap twice around your box, tie and cut.

Extra Tips:

  1. Don’t try to make it perfect.
Perfect is boring! The more imperfect, the more the recipient will be impressed that you made it. Imperfect says, “I printed this beautiful gift wrap all on my own and didn’t even hurt a tree.”

  2. Stamp em close together for small packages, farther apart for larger ones.
Don’t overdo it - even a single stamp in the lower right corner on the box looks sweet and handmade.

  3. Try some different styles:

    • Stamp a bunch in a line.

    • Stamp one long section so that only half of your package will be stamped, and tie a bow along the other side.

That’s it! I’m already dreaming up a gazillion more possibilities for this one stamp, and with an entire giant roll of kraft paper, the sky is the limit y’all.

Happy stamping, friends!!!
